Panta rhei: Everything flows!

A Utility Sink without a Faucets is like a river without water. Faucets are available in different versions and designs. We also focus on better quality when it comes to our range of Faucets for your Stainless steel Utility Sink. You can currently choose from four high-quality Klarco Faucets in our store.

Definition: The Faucets

If you look up the word “Faucets” in the dictionary, you will find different meanings for the term. The following meaning can be found for use in the sanitary sector: “Device for throttling or shutting off something, water tap or similar” (Duden) In our case, the main task of the Utility Sink Faucets is to shut off the pipe so that the water does not flow continuously. The heart of a Faucets is the so-called cartridge. The cartridge is responsible for mixing cold and hot water.

What types of Faucets are there?

To be able to choose the right Faucets, it is important to know about the different types of Faucets and their required connections. A basic distinction can be made between 3 types of Faucets:

High pressure

High-pressure faucet: High-pressure faucets are also referred to synonymously as pressure-resistant faucets. If you want to install them, you need a cold and hot water connection, which is usually the case. The Faucets can be connected directly. The Klarco Faucets we offer are just right for you!

Low pressure

Low-pressure Faucets: Low-pressure Faucets are also referred to synonymously as pressureless Faucets. If you want to install them, you have a cold water connection and an additional small storage tank for producing hot water.

Cold water

Cold water Faucets: Cold water Faucets are installed when only cold water is available. If you want to install them, you do not need hot water and can dispense with the mixing function and temperature control.

Note: If you have any questions about your connections, please contact your trusted installer.

Proper care of the Faucets

Taps are used every day. So it’s not surprising that they also need to be cleaned properly in order to shine in the long term. Different water qualities (limescale) in particular can be a challenge for our Faucets. However, if basic care tips are followed, impurities no longer stand a chance.

7 Faucets Care Notes:

  1. The surface of the tap should not be cleaned while it is still hot.
  2. Cleaning with aggressive or corrosive cleaning agents should be avoided.
  3. Abrasive sponges should not be used when cleaning the Faucets. Use a cotton cloth, for example.
  4. Rubber seals should not come into contact with the cleaning agent.
  5. Limescale residues can be easily removed with citrus cleaners.
  6. If limescale has already built up, a toothbrush can be used as a cleaning aid. This allows even the smallest areas of limescale to be reached.
  7. At the end of the cleaning process, always “clean” with clear water!

Do you live in a region with particularly hard water? If so, you may have to deal with limescale deposits time and again. Our tip: Find out whether it would make sense to install a descaling system.

Erwin Kunst

If you have installed your KUNe Stainless steel Utility Sink outdoors, you should remove the Faucets (or at least the cartridge) in winter.

The reason: freezing water can damage the Faucets.
