A brief historical overview
Before there were modern household connections as we know them today, people made do with other washing and dishwashing aids. A simple wash bowl and jug were generally used for personal hygiene. In the kitchen, pouring stones (washbasins) already fulfilled their role as functional everyday companions in the Middle Ages. Even then, different types of washing and dishwashing aids were used depending on the area of application.
In the 19th century, the first washbasin, the so-called bathroom washbasin, was finally connected to running water, a first important milestone. From this point onwards, the development of the washbasin gathered pace. More and more households were finally connected to the new system. People enjoyed the new luxury within their own four walls. The washbasin was finally mass-produced from the 20th century onwards.

Stainless steel is defined as having a minimum chromium content of 10.5% and a maximum carbon content of 1.2%. A resistant material that can be used in many different ways.
